Two or more equations put together are called Systems of Equations.

Two or more inequalities put together are called Systems of Inequalities.

Below, we have a system of inequalities:

y > x - 1

y < -x + 2

First, we've graphed the first inequality. Anything within the area indicated by the green arrows is a valid solution to the first inequality.

Now, we've graphed the second inequality. Anything within the area indicated by the new green arrows is a valid solution to the second inequality.

A valid solution to both of these inequalities is any point within the overlapping green arrows.
